Student Life

New York Philharmonic School Partnership Program

Philharmonic Teaching Artists work with grades 3 and 4 to build students' musical understanding through the symphonic experience. Students study specific works, attend live performances, learn to play the recorder, and compose music of their own. This level of engagement makes them aware of music’s impact on history, culture and their personal lives. In addition, four students receive weekly music lessons at the 92nd St. Y through scholarships.
