- Through the Junior Committee of the Inner-City Scholarship Fund (ICSF), some of our 6th, 7th, and 8th grade students participated in a co-ed basketball team with two other Catholic schools. The Junior Committee of young professionals supports MCHR students through hands-on support and enrichment programs, including field trips and tutoring sessions. Students have gone to the NY Aquarium at Coney Island, Queens County Farm, Whole Foods, Barnum & Bailey Circus, Liberty Science Center, a Red Bulls game, and a Mets game.

Recent class field trips have included the Botanical Gardens, the Metropolitan Museum of Art, Lincoln Center, and special performances at the Lehman Center for Performing Arts. Upcoming field trips include the Bodies Exhibition, the Big Apple Circus, Barnes and Noble, and Medieval Times.
- In November, MCHR violin students performed a special rendition of “Stand by Me” at the Russian Tea Room with singer/songwriter Ben E. King to benefit Ten O’Clock Classics. They also performed at the Rainbow Room to benefit the Inner-City Scholarship Fund.
