- After an extensive peer review and strategic planning process, MCHR has been awarded Accreditation by the Middle States Commission!

- During MCHR's annual benefit dinner - which raises crucial funds to support MCHR's programs - students performed a special rendition of Habanera with former Yankees' star Bernie Williams.
- MCHR's 8th grade ballroom dance team won gold place at the Dancing Classrooms final round of
competitions at the World Financial Center (top left image). Earlier this year, ballroom dance students performed at the Burden Mansion for His Excellency Archbishop Timothy Dolan.
- Terry Lundgren, CEO of Macy's, Inc., visited MCHR and lent inspirational advice and encouragement to the eighth grade class. Mrs. Florence D'Urso & His Eminence Edward

Students continue to benefit from field trips such as trips to the Big Apple Circus, the Harlem Studio Museum, Botanical Gardens, the Bodies Exhibition, Barnes & Noble, Medieval Times, the Metropolitan Museum of Art, Lincoln Center, and special performances at the Lehman Center for Performing Arts.

In August, MCHR's Honors Violin Ensemble will perform two musical sets at the Waldorf! Students have also performed at benefits with accomplished musicians including Joshua Bell, Ben E. King, CeCe Peniston, Questlove, and Bernie Williams.
