Principal Kaszynski will review your child’s Individualized Education Program (IEP) to determine whether MCHR offers the recommended resources. MCHR does not have a Resource Room or special education classes, but we would be happy to refer you to neighboring schools that provide the appropriate supports for your child’s needs.
Students in Pre-K 3, Pre-K 4 and Kindergarten begin the school day with free breakfast at 8 AM and classroom instruction from 8:10 AM to 2:45 PM. Students in Grades 1-8 begin the school day with free breakfast at 7:30 AM and classroom instruction from 8:10 AM to 4:00 PM. All students can participate in the After-School Program, which ends at 6 PM.
MCHR offers a wide range of after-school activities, including art, athletics, gospel choir, honors violin, robotics, chess, dance, and even yoga! The After-School Program goes until 6 PM, making MCHR the ideal school for working parents.
MCHR offers homework help to all students enrolled in the After-School program. In addition, the school hosts Saturday tutoring sessions to prepare students for the New York State exams.
MCHR strives to prepare all of our students for bright, successful futures. Principal Kaszynski and the Grade 8 teacher collaborate to prepare students for the high school application process, providing tutoring for the TACHS exam, counseling services, and personal recommendations. Our graduates have attended a variety of top high schools including Regis, Xavier, Cathedral, St. Jean Baptiste, Mount Saint Michael Academy, Cristo Rey, Cardinal Spellman, and Cardinal Hayes.
